Welcome to the MOMS Club of Sioux Falls! The
International MOMS Club (MOMS Offering Moms Support) was started in 1983 by Mary B. James, who was looking for other at-home children for her own children to play with. When she discovered that there was no existing organization that specifically met the needs of the at-home mom and her children, she decided to start a new organization. It was then that the MOMS Club was born. Word quickly spread about this wonderful group. We now have 2,000+ chapters in the US alone and over 100,000 members! We also have International chapters starting too! We are the first largest and fastest growing support group geared specifically towards ALL at-home mothers!
Our chapter has monthly meetings, weekly outings for moms and their children, age-based play groups, and a monthly MOMS Night Out. There is a bi-monthly newsletter that provides helpful information for moms, and keeps members posted of upcoming events. We are also active in helping the community by participating in service projects that benefit mothers and children in need in the Sioux Falls area.
Most of our activities are during the day, when mothers-at-home need support. The only exception being our monthly MOMS Night Out. We believe being a mother shouldn't isolate you, so children are always welcome at our activities!
This club is not just about our children, it's also about us. As a stay-at-home mom, it's difficult to meet new people and tackle all of the tasks a mother has to do. The most important thing to remember is we are all here to support one another in any way possible. We know being an at-home mother today means making a financial sacrifice, so our dues are a minimal $15 a year.
Moms of any age children are welcome. You don't have to leave the group when your children enter school or when older children are home on summer break. We know you still need support as your children grow.
